IMPORTANT CUSTOMER INFORMATION: Thank you for your purchase at Taft Furniture Warehouse and Showroom, Ltd. Our policies have been set up to afford all our customers prompt merchandise availability and excellent customer service at the best possible price. To avoid any inconvenience upon pick up or delivery please take a few moments to familiarize yourself with the following information that may be applicable to you. The adherence to these policies allows Taft to continue to offer the very best furniture values in NYS. We appreciate your business and try to make your delivery as convenient as possible. Your satisfaction is important to us.
TERMS AND WARRANTY: Taft provides a one-year limited warranty for goods sold under this contract unless such goods were sold “As-Is” or placed into commercial use* by the buyer. This warranty is for the benefit of the original purchaser only and provides that the goods sold will be free from manufacturer’s defects within the standards and specifications set forth by the manufacturer. This warranty does not apply to the wear, colorfastness, cleanability of the item, or damage caused by moisture, and is voided in the case where goods have been misused, abused, tampered with, or relocated from the original address or delivery address. Normal wear and tear of any items and/or pilling of upholstery fabric are not warrantied hereunder. Warranty does not cover transportation costs on repaired or exchanged merchandise. Failure to make a claim shall constitute an irrevocable acceptance of goods. Use of any items in a non-private, residential or commercial establishment voids this warranty.
MATTRESS MANUFACTURER’S WARRANTY: In order for this limited warranty to be valid, the customer must be the original purchaser and must provide a copy of the original store receipt. In the unlikely event that a defect may occur, Taft will inspect under manufacturer’s guidelines and submit a claim to the manufacturer. Should the manufacturer deem the bedding to be defective, repair or replacement must be authorized by the manufacturer. If identical materials are not available at the time of product service, Taft reserves the right to substitute material of equal value. Customer is responsible for transportation costs for the product to and from the store. These costs are equal to our current delivery charges. If customer returns product themselves, customer is responsible for protecting the product in transit. We reserve the right to refuse service and void the warranty when upon receipt from customer the bedding is found to be in an unsanitary condition or when product shows signs of customer abuse. Please refer to manufacturer’s warranty attached to bedding for further information.
REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT: Taft reserves the right to repair or replace the goods within a reasonable amount of time after they are notified of the defect. Repairs will be made at the customer’s home, in Taft’s facility or in the manufacturer’s facility. If any defect is not repaired at the first attempted service, the buyer agrees to allow Taft additional attempts to correct the defect as may be fair and reasonable. In the unlikely circumstance a repair cannot be made, and a replacement is required, buyer shall allow Taft reasonable time to order new merchandise from the manufacturer. Repair or replacement is the sole discretion of Taft. If replacement is determined, we will deliver to you, if the original merchandise was delivered. Delivery fees for repair or exchange will be the responsibility of the customer. If the original merchandise was picked up, you must pick up the replacement merchandise upon returning the defective merchandise to us.
CONDITIONS OF SALE: No spoken or other representation of Taft or its agents or employees shall be binding on and no conditions or additional terms of this agreement shall be binding on Taft. Taft reserves the right to accept or refuse the terms of this agreement.
SPECIAL ORDERS REQUIRE A 30% NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT: Special Order merchandise, not normally stocked at Taft, ordered per the customer’s specifications is considered custom-made or custom- finished. These orders cannot be cancelled for any reason, are not returnable, and require a 30% non-refundable down payment. In the event that the items are non-deliverable, customer agrees to forfeit the 30% deposit as a restocking fee and all delivery fees. Special order merchandise has a manufacturer’s estimated date to be received. Taft will not be responsible for any manufacturing delays.
DELIVERY INFORMATION:Our Web Only Items ship directly to your home via FedEx or UPS from our manufacturer's warehouses in five to seven business days. These items are shown only on our website and are not found in our showrooms. All available discounts have been applied to this item. No further discounts apply. Assembly required on certain items.
RETURN POLICIES: If you are not satisfied with your purchase you may exchange for merchandise of equal or greater value within 5 days of the pick up or delivery date. After 5 days, no returns will be accepted. Returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Returns and exchanges are subject to an $89.95 pickup fee, or customers may bring the merchandise back to the store. Restocking and pickup fees are payable by cash or bank card. All return merchandise must be in original condition and original packaging. If home setup was purchased merchandise may be returned in condition received. Home setup fee is nonrefundable. If items are returned to the store for return or exchange, Taft reserves the right to refuse the return or exchange due to damaged and/or abused product. Merchandise items not exchangeable include adjustable bases, bedding related products, “As-is”, clearance, special orders, ready to assemble items, that are assembled by the customer, and those used in non-private residential or commercial establishments. ACCESSORIES & RUGS: Up to 48 hours after purchase we will refund the purchase price for accessories and rugs. All items must be in “As New” condition in original factory cartons. MATTRESSES: A one-time 15-30 night comfort exchange program is available on most mattresses for additional fees with the purchase and use of a Taft mattress protector. “As is” or clearance mattresses do not qualify for Taft’s comfort exchange program.
REFUND POLICY: Merchandise that is approved as a return and canceled on the date of sale, the customer will be refunded that day. Otherwise, the refund will be made as follows. A) If payment is made in cash / check, a refund check will be issued within 10-14 banking days. B) If payment is made by credit card, credit to customer’s account will occur within 10-14 banking days. Delivery charges are not refundable.
